Pressure Point
An imprisoned assassin breaks out of jail to take on one last mission. The mission does not go as he planned.
What makes this movie bad?
This movie is by the same creators of a movie that has been riffed by both MST3K and Rifftrax. The low budget studio that brought you Time Chasers created their own action spy flick known as Pressure Point. How bad is it? It's worse, by far. However, this also makes it a thousand times more hilarious. Pressure Point was written by the man who also stars in it. He is uncharismatic in every sense of the word. He is terrible when it comes to action scenes and what makes it worse is that everyone else in the movie is supposed to look like complete morons by comparison. This presents a problem because dropping the bar lower makes it go below sea level.
The movie makes the spy business look like rolling off a log. So long as you have the title of spy, all the sudden you can do everything and everything is laid out before you like a buffet. Our main character is incompetent on every level, but somehow we are supposed to believe he is good enough to survive everything thrown at him. Sorry, but I'd rather laugh than suspend my disbelief.
The Riffs
The Rifftrax guys pull out every stop. From beginning to end, they pound this mess of a movie with relentless diligence. The hilarity on screen is maximized by the riffs and it has more than one gut busting jokes throughout. Even if one of your watchmates doesn't know what Rifftrax is, this episode will appeal to them anyway because it is universal in how funny it is. The main character, the idiotic side characters, the plot, the nonsensical happenings, all of it will make you fall out of your seat in guffaws.
The Episode
An absolute golden platinum other miscellaneous precious stone episode! By Far one of the greatest rifftrax movies ever put on digital download and it is worth every single red penny on its price. The riffs match the idiocy perfectly while the stupid action and drama sequences play on, the riffs make them funnier than they already are. If you are a riff fan, do not miss this episode, you will regret it.
